Details:
This one of a kind custom tackhead banjo comes with a walnut neck and 12 inch walnut rim, Macassar Ebony fretboard and peghead, Bocote rim cap and peghead backside, rounded off with a walnut Romero-style Dowel stick. The unique inlay on this banjo was chosen by the new owner's partner. She chose this specific inlay because the two of them first met working on engine 41 at Knott's Berry Farm, she was a singing teacher and he was the train's engineer. The inlay is inspired by the train located at the Southern California theme park and consists of an engraved ivoroid cutout of the train. The dyed goatskin is dyed to match the the walnut parts of the banjo. The tacks and tailpiece are aged brass.
